Christina Bishop is an active conductor, vocalist, clinician, and adjudicator. She was the first female Principal Conductor to direct the Chorale, and she co-founded the orchestra during her tenure as Assistant Conductor. She now serves as a musical liaison with the Chorale and Orchestra on Cornerstone’s Board of Directors.
Christina is an Assistant Musical Director for Millennial Choirs & Orchestras. She earned bachelors and masters degrees in music education and choral conducting from Brigham Young University under the mentorship of Ronald Staheli. While living in New York she studied conducting and voice with Eastman School of Music faculty William Weinert and Kathryn Cowdrick. Renowned ensembles in which she has sung include BYU Singers, Kantorei (Infinity Album), Howard Skinner’s Summer Choralfest, and Da Pacem. Christina and her husband, Nick, are the grateful parents of four wonderful sons.
